 | Steel Horse window bag - I know... stay away from Steel Horse, but I
didn't think the bag would rust very much. The bag has leaves of soft
material inside to keep the plastic windows from touching each other.
I was able to get the upper soft door halves, the rear side windows, as well
as the rear window in this one bag. I think it will definitely be
worth the price since we may leave our soft top down and the Jeep garaged
for long periods. I'll be able to stow the windows without
worry. Cost $38 |

Half door bag by Bestop- (initial comments...In two separate attempts, I can't get the upper door
halves inside of this bag... I bought this thinking the window bag
would not be large enough to hold the upper doors, but it looks like I'll be
returning it. The bag is high quality, but the doors don't fit!)
3/25 Update: alright, I took some time and was a bit more patient
today. I was trying to fit the doors in upside down. Actually I
was trying to insert them right side up, and they need to go in upside
down. You get the idea. I'm keeping the bag. I can stow
the windows in the Steel Horse bag and leave them at home. I'll use
this bag to store the half doors and take them along if I think there is a
chance of rain. If it does rain, I can put the half doors back on
along with the rest of the top, without the rear and side windows.
This should keep me relatively dry if need be. I have a small cable
lock that I can snake through the half door frame and lock them to the sport
bar if I have to leave the vehicle somewhere. Hmmm, I already have an
idea how to make a terrycloth separator to place between the upper doors when
they are in the bag. I'll get a soft towel and install 3 grommets in
one edge such that the grommets fit over the metal posts that mount the
upper doors into the lowers. If needed, I'll cut and re-stitch the
towel the give it roughly the same shape as the window. Cost $50 |

DuraVent cover - Well made, and supposedly breathable
but waterproof. I put the cover on and man is it tight! It has
to be lined up juuuust right and even then, I can't get it over the corners
on the rear bumper. We're planning on replacing our bumpers soon and
this should give us some more room since the corners are stretched pretty
tight due to the factory end caps on the front bumper. I'll run some
water over it one night this week and post a follow-up on waterproofness. Cost
$100 |

 | Adjustable door straps from
Quadratec - I ordered these in an effort to keep the doors from swinging
open so wide; however, they were of poor quality and the stitching on one
gave out as soon as it was installed. I will be returning them and
don't recommend them, but they are a good idea and I will look into making
my own some day. |
